Effect of amorphous charcoal on maize in a pot experiment

The effect of amorphous pure carbon powder was examined in an experiment on two levels of mineral fertilisation. The test crop was maize and the pot experiment was set up in a greenhouse with four replications using a soil originated from a brown forest soil site. The carbon powder had a negative, but non-significant effect on the maize biomass, and a positive, but also non-significant effect on plant height.
