It was a further aim of this extensive, crop protection-free and slightly irrigated experiment to examine the yield potential of each variety at low cost. The production area had especially unfavourable endowments; therefore, it was perfect for the experiment. Drought and heat stress were observed for several periods during the examined crop years and it was concluded that multi-resistant potato varieties produce proper yields even under extensive conditions and their yields are significantly higher from the second year of experiment (26.8–30.0 t ha1 in 2015 and 26.3–28.9 t ha1 in 2016) than the control variety Desireé (18.8 t ha1 in 2015 and 22.0 t ha1 in 2016). The defoliation of multi-resistant potato varieties following flowering had a significantly lower percentage on all occasions of examination than the control variety.
